WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (KFVS) - In Williamson County, the Veterans Honor Flight of Southern Illinois received a surprise on Veterans Day.
During Tuesday’s ceremony at the Veterans Airport of Southern Illinois, the Harrison Bruce Foundation presented a $200,000 check to Veterans Honor Flight to construct a new storage facility on the airport grounds.
Honor Flight Chairman of the Board Bryan Questelle said the new building is much needed as the Honor Flight program has continued to grow exponentially.
“This building will help consolidate all our gear and equipment that we have spread out all over the airport,” Questelle said.
The next Honor Flight of Southern Illinois is set for May 18, 2026.
