LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Some teachers and parents may roll their eyes upon seeing students hopping on a video game right after class.
For Saleem Carter, it’s different.
“They make sure that I get on time and make sure that I have all the equipment and stuff," said Carter, who attends The Academy @ Shawnee. "They make sure that I'm doing well.”
While his routine looks like any other high school athlete, his arena is online. He’s part of a Rocket League team that went from worst in the state to fourth place and climbing, all in just three years.
