LANSING, Mich. (WILX) -On Veterans Day, Lansing Community College honored two men who served in the Vietnam War.

Major General Steven Repichowski and Lance Corporal William Murphy were honored at LCC on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

Repichowski served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 2001.

During that time, he received multiple awards, including a Distinguished Service Medal.

Murphy served in the Marine Corps and has been awarded the Purple Heart.

Organizers say the event honors all of Michigan’s veterans.

“We have a lot of veterans in the state of Michigan who have served their country with distinction,” said Rebecca Allen, LCC VA coordinator. “And its important for us to highlight that service, and remind them that they are important to us.”
