JEFFERSON CITY — First Baptist Church in Jefferson City is working to tackle homelessness through partnerships, education and conversation.

As part of its “Keys to Hope” initiative, the church has partnered with Transformational Housing and Housing the Community Jefferson City — two frontline organizations that provide shelter and support for people experiencing homelessness.

The church is also hosting a series of free lunchtime conversations open to the public, designed to help residents better understand the causes and realities of homelessness in Jefferson City. The events are held on the second Tuesday of each month — September, October and November 2025, and February, March and April 2026 — in the Fellowship Hall at First Baptist Church.
