On Tuesday, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga held an event honoring our veterans.
More than 15% of students enrolled at UTC are military-connected. Just last week, the university was recognized as a top veteran-friendly school by U.S. Veteran Magazine.
UTC Chancellor, Dr. Lori Bruce, describes it as a powerful reminder of the University's strength.
At the event, three local veterans were honored with a Quilt of Valor. One of the honorees was Terry Ellis.
Terry Ellis is an assistant professor at UTC's School of Nursing. He is also serving as a 1st Lieutenant.
"I personally enlisted in 2014 into the army, completing five years as an enlisted soldier. After earning my BSN from the University of North Georgia, I became a commissioned officer and have served for the past six year
