Dixie Heights High School in Kenton County hosted a Veterans Day ceremony where retired Marine Corps veteran Howard Requard, who recently turned 100, was honored for his service during World War II.
Patriotic songs and military-themed skits set the tone for the annual event that usually takes place at nearby Hinsdale Elementary School. Dixie High hosted this year's program because of a construction project at Hinsdale. Dozens of former and retired service members were recognized for their dedication to America's armed forces.
