FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WBAY) - A local nonprofit that helps veterans and first responders is facing a major setback, after a trailer filled with thousands of dollars’ worth of outdoor equipment was stolen.
Operation Wisconsin provides outdoor recreation to active-duty military, veterans, and first responders, and now with much of his equipment stolen, founder Brian Stenz says the program is in jeopardy.
Just two days ago, Stenz came out to Shaganappi Park to transport his trailers. But his silver, 12-foot trailer with custom interior was gone.
“I called my son. I called a couple other people that you know, knew that it was here that would help us with activities, and just to make sure that they didn’t come up here and, you know, move it for whatever reason trying to help me out,” said Stenz
