Fairfield Police investigate the discovery of deceased male

FAIRFIELD -- The Fairfield Police Department is investigating the discovery of a body.

Police say an officer was dispatched to a welfare check on Tuesday morning, around 8:30 on Burrill Street.

When the officer arrived, they found 39-year-old Jeremy Turner of Fairfield deceased.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner was contacted, and the case will be assigned to a Medical Examiner for review.

Police say though it is out of the ordinary, they say currently nothing about the death appears to be suspicious.

The investigation is ongoing.
