Sunrise’s Nat Barr has taken on Senator Bridget McKenzie over the explosive cost of the Liberals net zero meeting, which has a reported price tag of more than $100,000.

The hefty price for the talkfest has come under fire with flights for Parliamentarians costing nearly $100,000. Other costs include one night of a travel allowance, which is about $22,540, according to news.com.au.

The number doesn’t include flights for support staff.

The Liberals are set to debate controversial net zero policy, as it threatens to derail both Sussan Ley’s leadership and the Coalition between Liberals and the Nationals.

The Nationals have already ditched the policy.
