GILES COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - While the temperatures are set to warm up after a cold Monday and Tuesday, snow lingered around Giles County.
Residents said they weren’t expecting a second snowfall Monday night.
“Just the other day, it was 60 here. And now that we’ve dropped in temperatures down, the wind chill last night was in the teens,” described Lori Kauffelt. “And then we had a tremendous amount of snow last night that we weren’t expecting.”
Everyone has their coats on at Shadow Mountain Farm, a horse farm in Newport. Kauffelt takes care of the horses, and said she’s glad she prepared ahead of schedule to keep herself, and the four legged friends, warm.
