A dad is fighting for his life after he was hit by a Range Rover while going to buy a lottery ticket.
Lewis Rimmer, 41, was about to enter a Sainsbury's in Bolton, Greater Manchester , when the car struck his vehicle and the wall of the store. Mr Rimmer was rushed to hospital where he underwent 30 hours of surgery before being placed in an induced coma.
He had taken half a day off work to treat his daughters Amelia, 10, and Maddison, five, to a birthday lunch over half term. But a stop at the supermarket turned into what his family described as an "unimaginable tragedy", when the Range Rover collided with him and the wall of the store on October 27.
