Northern lights may be visible across much of the northern U.S.—and possibly as far south as Alabama and northern California—between Nov. 11 and Nov. 13.
The best viewing times are within an hour or two of midnight, with the strongest viewing potential on Nov. 12, which is predicted to have a severe geomagnetic storm.
For optimal viewing, find a dark, open area with little light pollution and look toward the northern horizon.
