ASCENSION PARISH, La. (WAFB) - Several parishes held annual Veterans Day events Tuesday to honor those who have served, with Ascension Parish’s celebration at Veterans Memorial Park focusing on passing the torch all the way from Vietnam veterans to the next generation.
Jared Nolen, a Marine Corps and Army veteran with 27 years of service, said community support means everything to veterans.
