David Byrne is a married man!

The 73-year-old musician tied the knot with businesswoman Mala Gaonkar in September, according to a recent profile piece published by The New Yorker .

“I said I would never get married again, after I got divorced,” he told the outlet. “It was just working out really well, so we said, ‘Well, let’s do this for our friends and family.’”

The former Talking Heads frontman previously confirmed his engagement to Mala in September .

At the time, the singer had been promoting his latest album Who Is The Sky? when he revealed that Mala had become his fiancée
