KENNER, La. —

Two men were arrested in Kenner after investigations into multiple car burglaries.

The Kenner Police Department responded to reports of multiple burglaries on Nov. 6 in the Beachview Heights area and collected video evidence, which was shared throughout the patrol division. Advertisement

On Nov. 8 around 2:50 p.m., an off-duty officer spotted a person matching the suspect seen on video walking in the Joe Yenni Boulevard area.

The person was identified as Tyrell Turner, 17, of Kenner.

Turner was found in possession of two stolen guns, one from Kenner and one from Jefferson parish.

A search warrant at his home in the 4300 block of Florida Ave. led to the recovery of additional property and evidence connecting him to more crimes.
