UMATILLA, Ore.- Veterans from across the Pacific Northwest were honored Saturday with a free guided fishing trip on the Columbia River.

The 10th Annual Fish’n The Brave, organized by Kennewick-based Fisher’s Catch Outfitters , provided 112 veterans with a free, guided fishing trip on the Columbia River. Dozens of guides supplied equipment and offered advice free of charge.

“It was fantastic– couldn’t get any better weather,” Air Force veteran and Benton City resident Jesse Kasma grinned. “Getting to fish with good people, meeting new people, meeting great friends, and catching great fish.”

The event provided free food and a raffle with fishing rods and trips, a barbecue, coolers, and a custom armed forces-themed 1982 Harley Davidson Softail.
