SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - If you’ve driven by the airport, you may have seen black and white photos along with hand-drawn planes.

Those are South Dakota Veterans who flew in wars like World War II and Vietnam.

At the Sioux Falls Regional Airport, 19 South Dakota veterans are being honored for their service.

All 19 men flew planes and defended America at some point, and a couple of veterans loved the gesture.

“I really felt humbled by the company that I was put on the screen with. That was my impression,” said Vietnam Veteran Kim Morey.

“It’s pretty incredible. I’m pleased with it, but it’s kind of humbling to see a picture that big of me,” said Vietnam Veteran Wade Hubbard.

This day also means a lot for one daughter of a World War II veteran.
