With an equal measure of humility and excitement, Jeanne-Marie Souvigney is looking forward to her induction into the Montana Outdoor Hall of Fame.

The humility comes from the fact that so many other conservationists she has long looked up to have already earned the honor. Her excitement comes from the recognition given to the many causes she has championed over the years.

A Massachusetts native, Souvigney moved to Montana in 1980 to attend graduate school to undertake environmental studies at the University of Montana. She was the first student in the program with a business degree, she recalled.
