The city of Decatur marked Veterans Day with a heartfelt ceremony at the American Legion Post 15, bringing together community members, local leaders, and veterans to honor those who’ve served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Several patriotic organizations participated in this year’s event, which featured guest speakers, performances by the Priceville High School Marching Band, and a moving military hat ceremony.
John D. Johnson, chaplain of American Legion Post 15 and commander of Disabled American Veterans, shared why events like this are vital for future generations.
