NORFOLK, Va. — A Norfolk restaurant is stepping up to help those affected by the ongoing government shutdown.
Vang Go Bistro, located at 915 West 21st Street in the Ghent neighborhood, will be serving free take-out meals on Wednesday. The chef plans to prepare about 200 meals for residents impacted by the shutdown.
“We wanted to do something nice for the community,” said a representative from the restaurant. “It might be a little hit for business that day, but we’ll recover. It’s worth it to help people who need it.”
