MISHAWAKA, Ind. (WNDU) - We honor and thank the brave men and woman who served in the line of duty Tuesday.
We’re also taking a look at the oldest park in the city of Mishawaka, Battell Park.
The park started as a civil war memorial and has since expanded to honor all veterans alike.
16 News Now went to attend the special flag ceremony.
The city is known for honoring its veterans and here at Battell Park for Veteran’s Day.
Local veterans came together to change out the flags and raise them to half-staff.
Mishawaka Troop Town is giving back to the city of Mishawaka for the city’s ongoing efforts to support its local veterans.
On this Veterans Day, Troop Town took down those faded, and tattered flags that have been worn by the weather and replaced them with new ones!
