IOWA FALLS — Police have identified the three individuals killed on Sunday in what they now describe as a double murder-suicide.

Officers responded to a residence on Willow Lane on Sunday where they discovered three deceased individuals inside.

Jessica Bennett and Alan Karalius were among those identified. Shawn Bean was also found dead at the scene.

Investigators determined that the shooting was a result of a domestic situation that was isolated to the residence, and that Bean shot Bennett and Karalius, as well as a fourth person, before turning the gun on himself.

The fourth victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover. The investigation is ongoing.
