NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WDEF) — Three new stars have been added to the Music City Walk of Fame.
GRAMMY-winning songwriter Liz Rose, country legend Charley Pride, and reigning CMA and ACM Group of the Year Old Dominion were inducted Tuesday afternoon.
The ceremony also included speeches from country music stars Vince Gill, Neal McCoy and Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town to celebrate the honorees.
Charley Pride’s wife, Rozene Pride, accepted posthumously on his behalf. Pride died on December 12, 2020 at age 86 from complications due to COVID-19.
Pride was known for breaking color barriers as country music’s first black superstar. The Grand Ole Opry member was even a three-time GRAMMY winner whose many hits included “Kiss An Angel Good Morning.”
