BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —
New developments in the case against a man facing charges in connection with the 5 Points South fire early Halloween morning. Birmingham police arrested Joshua Mitchell the same day the massive fire broke out and burned multiple buildings on 20th Street South. He’s charged with arson, accused of intentionally damaging The Big Escape Rooms, which are a few buildings down from where our cameras captured flames destroying an old home and the three buildings next to it.
We've now learned through new court documents that Mitchell is facing an attempted arson charge as well.
