BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - At the Bismarck Texas Roadhouse, their annual tradition of giving out meal vouchers during Veterans Day means something especially important, given veteran food insecurity, SNAP pauses and North Dakota’s role as a large military state.

“There’s so much more going on in the world these days. It just makes me be that much more grateful that we can do that much more for them individuals,” said David Skur, general manager of Bismarck Texas Roadhouse.

Skur said that he estimates he will give out over 10% more vouchers than in an average year.
