Travis Hunter’s rookie season is done.

The two-way Jaguars player underwent successful surgery to repair a lateral collateral ligament injury in his right knee on Tuesday and will miss the remainder of the 2025 season, the Jaguars announced.

The team said there had not been any additional damage to Hunter’s knee, which he injured during a practice on Oct. 30. He had been put on the injured reserve list initially.

Hunter, 22, is “expected to return within six months to full football activities,” the team said.

The injury curtailed what could have been a turning point for the rookie after he played the best game of his young career again
