During the Cedar Bluff Town Council meeting Monday evening, Police Chief Jeremy Stepps informed the Council his department is now up to full staff of four officers and the Chief. Six weeks ago, the department was only the Chief. During the month of October, the department Patrolled 13,258 miles, issued 124 warnings, 75 citations, made 11 felony arrests, 24 misdemeanor arrests, made 11 drug cases, issued 45 incidence and offense reports, interviewed 5 suspects, and worked 51 hours of traffic overtime which is paid for with a grant from ADECA.
Chief Stepps praised his department for their successful arrests, which has brought about 4 Life Sentences handed down in 2025 to defendants in arrests and cases made by the Cedar Bluff Police Department.
