WASHINGTON TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Washington Township police say it was teens on a joyride that caused significant damage to a home early Tuesday morning.
Part of the incident was caught on surveillance video.
It happened along Covered Bridge Court in Canterbury Mews around 2:20 a.m.
About 20 seconds after the car crashed into two air conditioners, the back of a condo, and a fence, the car reverses and whips around onto the street. Then the occupants get out.
"Upon coming downstairs, I heard female voices screaming, 'I'm scared, I'm scared!'" recalled neighbor Alisa DeMayo.
Police say the vehicle was driven by two 13-year-old girls, who quickly left the area.
"It sounded like a bomb. I thought something crashed into my roof," said DeMayo.
Neighbors say the crash was shockingly loud
