NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - A brush fire in Aiken County drew a response from multiple agencies Tuesday evening.

The fire was on Pinion Road, which is off of Five Notch Road, according to authorities.

As early as 5 p.m., black smoke could be seen over the area.

Crews were still on the scene at 7 p.m.

There are homes in the area, but there was no indication whether any structures were in danger.

The North Augusta Department of Public Safety was assisting the Belvedere Fire Department with the blaze.
