University of Virginia football coach Tony Elliott said Tuesday that he hopes quarterback Chandler Morris will return to a full practice Wednesday.
Morris suffered an upper-body injury in the second quarter of Saturday night’s 16-9 loss to Wake Forest at home.
Morris attended practices Monday and Tuesday, but didn’t participate. He’s a big reason for UVA’s resurgence this season, passing for 2,088 yards and 12 touchdowns and running for 214 yards and four scores.
The Cavaliers (8-2) dropped into a four-way tie for first place in the ACC at 5-1 with Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh and SMU.
UVA will visit Duke (5-4, 4-1) at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
