If you are a parent, you know that moment when you realize something isn’t quite right with your child. For Ashley Brewer, that moment came when her son Theo was less than two years old.
“When he was between 15 and 18 months, he started the tip-toe gait,” explained Ashley. “He was regressing in his speech and he wasn’t being his usual talkative self.”
The Brewers traveled to different doctors trying to find answers as to what is going on with Theo.
“We finally got one of the doctors in Dundy County, I was like, watch him walk, watch him run, and they are like there is definitely something going on there.”
That doctor got the Brewers in contact with professionals at the Shiner’s Hospital in Minnesota. For the next 3 to 4 years, the family would travel 2 to
