ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - One person was killed in a vehicle crash in Chattahoochee Hills on Tuesday evening, according to police.
Around 6:50 p.m., Chattahoochee Hills police said they responded to a two-vehicle crash on South Fulton Parkway between Rico Road and Cochran Mill Road, where officers found “two heavily damaged” vehicles.
“Tragically, the incident resulted in one fatality,” police said.
The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) has responded and is leading the investigation.
South Fulton Parkway will remain closed in both directions between Rico Road and Cochran Mill Road for several hours while investigators work, Chattahoochee Hills police said shortly after 7:30 p.m.
The deceased victim’s identity will be released once their next of kin are notified, police said.
