MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A now-former Liberty County Assistant District Attorney found himself on the other side of the law, as he's charged in an alleged hit-and-run in Montgomery County.
A DPS crash report showed it occurred in late October in Porter and involved Mark A. Boemio, who was a prosecutor at the time of the crash.
The report said Boemio, identified as the driver of Unit One in the report, fled the scene and is being charged with failing to stop and give information.
Kyle and Emily Hicks said they were in the vehicle that was hit, along with their children. The Hicks said that was the only vehicle they had.
"We were driving home and, like, just going normal, and somebody came and smashed us, like smashed into the passenger side of our vehicle," Emily said.
