Lia Williams and Shane Edwards spent more than a decade looking for a rural property to call home before they finally settled in Manjimup, Western Australia.
Tucked away in the karri forest, 300 kilometres south of Perth, their property is home to an abundance of flora, a mischievous pet sheep and of course, quirky avocados, some shaped like human genitalia.
During their first harvest in July 2024 the pair first noticed some unusual avocados growing on their 400-odd trees.
"We found a number of avocados with what appeared to look like male and female anatomy," Ms Williams laughed.
"And we also found avocados with variegation through them, so we had a green Hass avocado with white stripes, but as it ripened the white part turned red.
" They taste delicious — they just give people a go
