(KBTX) - Texas A&M held its ground at No. 3 in the second College Football Playoff rankings, remaining behind No. 1 Ohio State and No. 2 Indiana.
The Aggies beat then No. 22 Missouri Saturday 38-14 for their second ranked win of the season. Indiana needed a last-minute scoring drive to knock off 3-6 Penn State, 27-24. The Buckeyes ran away with a 34-10 win over Purdue.
College Football Playoff committee chair Mack Rhoades, who is also Baylor’s athletic director, said A&M and Indiana garnered one of the longer discussions in their meetings. However, the committee liked Indiana’s last-minute drive more than the Aggies’ ranked win against a Tiger team playing their third-string quarterback, Matt Zollers.
