SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Partial SNAP benefits will become available for South Dakotans on Tuesday night.
The South Dakota Department of Social Services said that amounts are based on the guidance that the Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Services received last week.
They also said that when the federal government shutdown ends and all benefits are restored, DSS plans to issue the equivalent of remaining payments through a second installment of SNAP benefits.
The first and second issuances will comprise the full November benefit.
Recipients are encouraged to check their balances through the EBT app or portal.
