ORLANDO, Fla. — Veterans Day looks and feels a little different for the hundreds of thousands of veterans that are also federal employees.

According to the most recent statistics available from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, 28%-29% percent of all federal employees are also veterans , and they haven’t gotten paid in 42 days during the federal government shutdown.
