RAYTOWN, Mo. —

Some Missourians are beginning to see partial Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program payments, but without the full benefits, some families are concerned about how to move forward.

The Missouri Department of Social Services told KMBC 9 that SNAP recipients will receive and be able to use a portion of their SNAP benefits on Tuesday. This followed updated guidance from the United States Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Services. But it’s not yet clear how much of the payment SNAP recipients will receive. One local mother-daughter duo in Raytown, Missouri, said the partial payment isn’t enough to cover a week’s worth of meals. Sharyl Pluchino received $14.30 on Tuesday. Her usual SNAP payment? $98.
