NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a homicide in Central City.

Officials say the incident happened in the 2100 block of South Claiborne Avenue.

NOPD says an adult male with at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital by EMS.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not released any other details.
