Paul Kidder stood quietly as Johnstown Mayor Amy Praught unveiled the first 22 banners to honor veterans in Johnstown.

“I’m not up there,” said the Navy Seabee, a petty officer third-class who served around Hue in Vietnam in 1967 and '68. He was in downtown Johnstown to honor the others.
