Still, as the puck dropped Tuesday night, dozens of fans were still left outside, trying to get into the Bell Centre.
The strike by STM maintenance workers has shut down métro and bus service outside rush hours for the month, pushing many to find alternative ways to the game, from driving to getting a taxi.
Then came Monday night’s snowstorm . And by game time, traffic was slow and parking difficult, fans told The Gazette as they rushed into the stadium.
“It was pretty terrible,” said Mike, who came from the east end. “Traffic all over the streets. You can tell there’s no transportation for anybody.”
He said the drive usually takes him about 30 minute
