MERIDIAN, Idaho — Hundreds gathered under clear skies Tuesday morning at the Rock of Honor Memorial in Julius M. Kleiner Park to honor veterans and fallen service members during Meridian’s annual Veterans Day ceremony .
The memorial, established in 2011, bears the names of 62 local heroes who gave their lives in service to the nation. The ceremony – marked by solemn readings, trumpet calls, and quiet reflection – brought together veterans, families and community members to pay tribute to those who served and sacrificed.
Eric Wrazin, a retired U.S. Air Force veteran and president of the Rock of Honor board, said reading the names aloud is a sacred act meant to ensure the fallen are never forgotten.
