After a record-breaking career at Loras College, Kassie Parker is well on her way to shattering every Iowa road racing record.
The seven-time NCAA individual champion at the NCAA Division III Dubuque school, Parker picked up runner-up honors at the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon Half Marathon on Nov. 8. The Crown Running athlete, now 26 years old, covered the 13.1-mile Indianapolis course in 1 hours, 10 minutes, 18 seconds. That time would have crushed the Iowa all-time record on the roads of 1:13:17 set by former Iowa All-American Diane Nukuri Johnson at Dam to Dam in 2014.
