WINTERGREEN, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Temperatures were below freezing last night, especially up at Wintergreen, allowing the snow machines to be turned on for the season. But this year, the snow machines have been upgraded.

The new snow machines allow them to put out more water, producing a much nicer snow all while saving on their power cost and being a bit more environmentally friendly.
