HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The University of Hawaii men’s basketball team is gearing up for the 2025 OUTRIGGER Rainbow Classic.
The annual tradition returns to the Stan Sheriff Center this week for the 59th edition of the classic, making it the nation’s longest running preseason tournament.
Hawaii is seeking to win the tournament in back-to-back years, which would be the first time that happened since UH won four straight years in the early 2000s.
The UH men’s basketball team had difficulty filling its schedule this year, but Head Coach Eran Ganot says he is pleased to see the Rainbow Classic continue.
“We’re still talking about things to do in the future, but the Rainbow Classic is here to stay,” Ganoot said. “We’re very grateful to our sponsors and a lot of people behind the scenes
