Menulog will end operations in Australia this month after delivering takeaway to Australians for two decades.

The food delivery service was founded in 2006 as a digital marketplace which paired local restaurants with delivery drivers.

In a statement on its website, the owners Just Eat Takeaway.com said Menulog had been “navigating challenging circumstances”.

Menulog will accept final orders on the app until 11.59pm AEDT on Wednesday, November 26.

“After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cease our operations in Australia,” the company said in a statement.

“This strategic decision reflects our focus on accelerating growth and investments in other markets and to deliver the best experience for customers, partners and couriers.”
