The second set of Mountain East Conference athlete of the week honors of November followed a familiar theme: teammate strength.

Four sets of teammates from MEC schools were named conference athletes of the week on Monday.

Frostburg State’s Owen Doyle and Marquise Allsup were football offensive and co-defensive players of the week, respectively.

Wheeling’s Leonard Sherrod III took the other share of the weekly football defensive honor, while the Cardinals’ Connor Fitzpatrick was the special teams player of the week.

Davis & Elkins produced the men’s and women’s swimmers of the week in Leonardo Coelho and Savannah Foley.

West Virginia Wesleyan’s Bhrooke Axe is the MEC volleyball offensive player of the week, and fellow Bobcat Alexis Moescher claimed equivalent defensive honors.
