RUPERT, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A Rupert woman received a special welcome home on Tuesday afternoon after being injured in a car crash in California last month.

Beverly Lallman, who worked as a 911 dispatcher in Minidoka County for 41 years before retiring, was involved in a crash that broke her neck, sternum, and ankle.

Initially in critical condition, Lallman is now making progress in her recovery. On Tuesday, she arrived back home in the Magic Valley, landing at the Jerome County Airport.

“She’s one of the first people that tried to help anyone that was in need,” said Sgt. Michael Dudley with the Minidoka County Sheriff’s Office. “I think playing that back for her is going to be very emotionally good for her.”
