California Governor Gavin Newsom attended the COP-30 climate summit in Brazil, where he criticized President Trump’s absence. Speaking before world leaders, Newsom called California a “reliable partner” in the clean energy movement. He also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Governor of Pará, Brazil, to collaborate on wildfire prevention and response. COP-30 marks ten years since the Paris Agreement was first adopted.
