Michigan basketball played a nearly flawless season-opener in Ann Arbor.

When it returned to the court a week later in Detroit, it was anything but. The Wolverines led by 13 at the half and had the same margin when Elliot Cadeau threw an outlet pass to Yaxel Lendeborg for a slam as it appeared they would cruise to victory on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

Instead, Wake Forest went on a tear. Juke Harris went on a personal 8-0 run in 47 seconds, and sparked the Demon Deacons on a 37-17 run in less than 12 minutes to take a seven-point lead and force a U-M timeout with less than five minutes to play.

The Wolverines regrouped and after missing 12 consecutive 3-pointers in the second half Roddy Gayle Jr. drilled one from the right wing to tie the game with 1:44 to play and cap a 7-0 spurt. Myles Colvi
